What types of tables are included
Regarding the setup, there are basically two different types of adjustable height folding tables here in the list:
- Collapsible camping tables with adjustable legs.
- Folding tables with adjustable legs.
- A combination of the two, with a folding frame and legs plus a removable tabletop.
The main difference is that the former needs some simple assembly. Usually, you have a tabletop and a frame as two separate units, and each of them is folding type. So you just unfold each of them and then attach the tabletop to the frame. When packed, these tables remain relatively long in one dimension only.
The folding tables with adjustable legs have all elements permanently connected to each other. So you simply open it up in a second or two and it is ready. This type normally remains large in two dimensions when you fold it and pack, but it is thin and fits in narrow spaces when stored at home or transported.
Regarding the legs adjustability, there are again two main types:
- Tables with legs that can be extended to several specific lengths. Usually, this is 2 or 3 lengths.
- Tables where you can extend legs to any length within a certain range. This type is better for camps where you need more adjustability because of an uneven ground
Regarding the materials, you can have:
- Aluminum or metal in general.
- Bamboo & wood in general. This is mainly related to the tabletop.
- Engineered wood used sometimes for the tabletop.
- Some combination of these materials.

1. REDCAMP Aluminum Folding Table
This REDCAMP Aluminum Folding Table could be described as ultralight for such a design. It weighs only 4.5 lb (2.1 kg). This is a folding type that packs into itself like a thin box.
You have 2 lengths for the legs of the table with a height of 15 and 27.6 inches (39 and 70 cm). You can have a few more centimeters with additional fine-tuning with its feet.
The frame is aluminum and the tabletop is made of medium-density fiberboard. Note that the tabletop size is 35.4 x 23.6 inches (90 x 60 cm) so this is a large table for such a weight. You will want to know that it comes at an incredibly good price.
2. Sportneer Adjustable Height Camping Table with Mesh Layer
This table offers three possible heights, and the feet are also adjustable. So now you understand why it is here. Note also that with its 5 lb (2.27 kg) of weight, it can be described as ultralight.
This all makes it a versatile and functional table, it is folding and nicely packable into itself, and it is also incredibly affordable. The tabletop is a medium density fiberboard.
3. Camco 51895 Bamboo Folding Table
Here you have a combination of aluminum legs and a natural bamboo tabletop in a structure that is collapsible type. These two elements fold separately and you store them in the included carry bag.
You have two possible legs length, 18 inches (46 cm) and 25.5 inches

4. KingCamp Bamboo Folding Table
This KingCamp Bamboo Folding Table is with a bamboo tabletop, and it comes with a nice carry bag shown in the picture above. This is a collapsible type, so the tabletop and the aluminum frame fold separately.
The legs are telescopic and you can have any height in the range 16.5 – 25.6 inches (42 – 65 cm). You turn the screw which is on the tube and extend the tube that fits in it, then fasten the screw. So you can do this independently for each leg.
The table weighs 9.26 lb (4.2 kg) and the tabletop size is 25.6 x 19.7 inches (65 x 50 cm).
5. Portal Outdoor Folding Portable Picnic Camping Table with Adjustable Height
This table is here in the list because of its independently adjustable legs, and this is one of the best designs on the market. You can set them to any length in the range of 17.7 – 27.5 inches (45 – 70 cm). The locking mechanism is very easy to use and reliable.
The table also comes with a storage net which you see in the picture above. This is the reason for adding it also to my list of tables with storage.

6. Camp Field Camping Table with Adjustable Legs
This Camp Field Camping Table with Adjustable Legs is a very popular, portable, and easy to use all-aluminum camping table. It is in the group of folding and collapsible tables with the tabletop and frame as separate parts.
The legs are adjustable independently, you have separate and very easy to use release mechanisms on each of them. The possible height is anywhere in the range 17.32 – 25.19 inches (44 – 64 cm).
The carry bag is included, and the table is very affordable. It weighs 10.7 lb (4.85 kg) and the desktop is with the dimensions 35.4 x 19.7 inches (90 x 50 cm).
7. ATEPA Folding Camping Table
The picture above reveals several great features of this Atepa Table. As you realize this is an example with the bamboo tabletop. It is also one of those collapsible types. The tabletop folds separately from the frame.
It comes with a nice carry bag shown in the picture. It is here in the list because of its adjustable legs. They can be adjusted independently anywhere in the range 17 – 25.6 inches (42 – 65 cm).

8. Timber Ridge Adjustable Height Camping Table
This Timber Ridge table is a folding type, so you just open its tabletop and the legs and it is ready. Such a design implies a bit large packed dimensions but it is very thin, the dimensions when packed are 26 x 25.5 x 3.5 inches (66 x 65 x 9 cm).
Note also that it comes with a carry bag so you can keep it clean when stored at home, and you can also carry it short distances. It weighs 11.88 lb (5.39 kg).
The tabletop size is great, you have 47 x 23.5 inches (119 x 60 cm). As for the legs adjustability, you have 2 heights here, 21 and 28 inches (53 and 71 cm). So clearly this is a real dining table but you can also use it as s side table when needed.
9. VINGLI 4 Foot Folding Table with Adjustable Height
This Vingli table has 3 different heights, 21.6/23.6/27.6 inches (55/60/70 cm). So you can use it as a dining camping table or as a side table in its two heights.
You have a folding design here so the packed size is relatively large 23.6 x 23.6 x 2.7 inches (60 x 60 x 6.9 cm). But see its impressive tabletop size 47.2 x 23.6 inches (120 x 60 cm).
The weight is 12.2 lb (5.53 kg), the frame is aluminum, and the top is an MDF material. It is incredibly affordable.
10. Coleman Pack-Away 4-in-1 Adjustable Height Folding Camping Table
This Coleman Pack-Away 4-in-1 Adjustable Height Folding Camping Table is a modular design. It includes two tables that can be combined in several ways, and this is behind the phrase 4-in-1 in its name.
Here you have a folding design with both tables folding in a single box-like structure. The legs are adjustable as you would expect, and you have 4 different levels.
The frame is aluminum and the tabletop is an MDF laminate. The table weighs 12.3 lb (5.6 kg) and each tabletop dimensions are 31.5 x 15.5 inches (80 x 40 cm). Note that this is an Amazon Choice product, and it is very affordable.
11. Coleman Living Collection Folding Table
The focus here is on adjustable legs, so this table has two heights. You can use it as a dining or cooking table, and also a side table in the camp.
The weight is 12.5 lb (5.7 kg) so it is a bit on the heavy side but you have a wood tabletop. This all folds nicely into its included carry bag.
The table is from their Living Collection that includes two chairs, a cot, and a bench. All of them are presented here in the site.
12. Camp Chef Sherpa Table and Organizer
The legs in this table allow for two different positions. So you can use it as a dining or cooking table, or as a side table. In both cases, all the storage elements which you see in the picture remain functional.
It is all about the storage here. You have those four boxes which you can store inside, but you can keep them outside as well and use the storage compartment on its own. This is why I have included it also in my list of best tables with storage elements.
The tabletop is an accordion-type aluminum structure and you can store it in a dedicated pocket on the back. The table weighs 13 lb (5.9 kg).
13. CampLand Aluminum Height Adjustable Folding Table
This is an all-aluminum camping table with independently adjustable legs and this is why it is in the list here. All the legs adjust independently so this is a great design.
But this table also comes with a storage net underneath the tabletop. This is a fully collapsible construction and the table collapses to the packed size of 49.2 x 7.9 x 4 inches (125 x 20 x 10 cm).

14. CampLand Outdoor Folding Table
So here you have an exceptionally functional camping table with a huge storage system shown in the picture. Note that this all underneath the tabletop is also removable.
The legs are height-adjustable and this is why it is in the list here. The range is 24.02 – 27.36 inches (61 – 70 cm), and they adjust in pairs.
This is a folding table with the weight of 16 lb (7.3 kg), and 23.62 x 18.5 x 3.96 inches (60 x 47 x 10 cm) packed size. So as you realize it packs very thin.
15. REDCAMP Aluminum Folding Table 6 Foot
This impressive REDCAMP Aluminum Folding Table 6 Foot is here because of its adjustable legs, so you have two heights, plus small adjustability in the case of uneven ground.
This is a folding table and incredibly easy to use in spite of its size. It is nicely packable and it folds in itself so you have a thin box.
The frame is aluminum frame and the table weighs 16.5 lb (7.5 kg) so it is portable to short distances. Note also that it is very affordable.
16. Zempire Kitpac Round V2 Table
This table is here because of its telescopic legs with 3 heights, and its feet have micro adjustments as well.
The tabletop is a natural bamboo that folds in 4 parts together with the frame. The only assembly is placing two bars underneath the tabletop, everything else is pre-attached.
The frame is aluminum and with several locking elements that make the structure stable. You have a nice carry bag included. The table weighs 17 lb (7.7 kg).
17. REI Camp Prep Table
This is a folding structure that closes into itself. It is sturdy and stable all-metal construction with an aluminum tabletop, and very easy to use. It is here because of its adjustable telescopic legs.
The weight is 19 lb 11 oz (8.93 kg), and the height adjustability is in the range of 22 – 31 inches (56 – 79 cm). A carry bag is included.
18. iKamper AIOKS All-In-One Outdoor Kitchen System
This iKamper AIOKS All-In-One Outdoor Kitchen System is a completely unique product on the market. It includes 4 tables in total and 2 integrated stoves. You can see them all in the picture.
But this packs in one compact box equipped with wheels and with a handle. This set is here because of its six adjustable legs.
The tabletops are a waterproof birch plywood and the frame is aluminum. Note that you also have space for storage of your cooking gear. The weight is 20 lb (9 kg).
19. Core 4 Foot Outdoor Table with FlexRail
This beautifully designed and feature-rich and functional outdoor table offers several different heights in the range 56-91 cm.
So you can make it suitable for cooking, dining, and use as a side table as well. It comes with a patent-pending design, and it offers storage elements, cup holders, a bottle opener, and a paper towel holder.
The table is heavy, it weighs 21 lb (9.5 kg), but its capacity is officially 200 lb (91 kg).
20. Camp Chef Mesa Aluminum Camp Table
This Camp Chef Mesa Aluminum Camp Table is with adjustable legs and this is why it is here. You have three specific positions for the height in the range 27 -39 inches (69 – 99 cm).
It is constructed from steel that is used for its frame and legs, and aluminum used for the tabletop.
This is a collapsible design and it fits nicely in its included carry bag that measures 48 x 7 x 6.5 inches (122 x 18 x 17 cm). This is why I have included it also in my list of best collapsible camping tables. The weight is 22 lb (10 kg).
21. ALPHA CAMP 3-Piece Folding Camping Table with Bench Set
So here you have a complete set. But the table itself has two heights so you can use it as a dining camping table or as a side table. It is compact for transportation, it packs into itself and everything together measures 35.4 x 13 x 5 inches (90 x 33 x 13 cm).
The complete set weighs 20.5 lb (9.3 kg). The metal parts are aluminum and the tops are a high-density fiberboard.
22. CampLand Folding Cooking Table
This CampLand Folding Cooking Table is an incredibly functional construction. It has 6 legs and some of them are adjustable, this is why it is in the list here. But as you realize from the picture, it also comes with storage shelves, a lantern hanger, a windscreen, and side tables.
So it offers a huge working and storage space and this is why it is a bit heavy with its 23.6 lb (10.7 kg) of weight. This is a collapsible design and it packs nicely in its included carry bag.
23. ALPS Mountaineering Guide Table
This ALPS Mountaineering Guide Table is a high-quality steel camping table with adjustable height and a carry bag included. So the legs are adjustable and the feet are pivoting to adapt to any surface.
This is a very long table and the structure is fully collapsible so the packed size is 31 x 9 x 8 inches (79 x 23 x 20 cm). The frame is a folding structure, and the tabletop is accordion-type hardtop. Note that it is quite heavy, 25 lb 7 oz (11.5 kg), but this is a big and strong table.
24. Browning Camping Outfitter Table
Here you have a collapsible steel construction and this is reflected in the weight of this table which is 25.4 lb (11.5 kg). The legs are adjustable and with pivoting feet. There are 3 height levels and you can adjust the legs independently.
This is a collapsible and folding design so it needs some simple assembly and the packed size is good. Its included carry bag is with the dimensions 33.8 x 9.2 x 7.5 in (86 x 23 x 19 cm). The plastic cover shown in the picture above is removable.
25. Snow Peak IGT Camp Kitchen Starter Set
Here you have an incredibly functional set. This means it includes several different elements that can all be used together as shown in the picture, but all these elements can also be used on their own separately and independently.
The table is here because of its adjustable feet, so you can always level it properly in the camp.
It comes with the Waterproof Unit Gear Bag 220 that also doubles as a fully functional sink built from an EVA foam and with a lid and handles. This is why it is included also in my list of tables with a sink. The whole set weighs 32.5 lb (14.7 kg).
26. Kamp-Rite Kwik Set Table with Benches
This Kamp-Rite Kwik Set Table with Benches is here because of its adjustable legs. It is at such a position in the list because it is heavy, it weighs 43 lb (19.5 kg).
However, this is an ingenious and unique folding aluminum construction, incredibly easy to use and packable. It includes two benches as you realize from the name and from the picture. It all packs in itself and it becomes an elongated elegant box with handles.
So how to choose your camping table
Regarding the legs adjustability
This is the main feature in this list, and if possible it is better if you can choose the table with any length in the given range. This allows for more adjustability options when you have uneven ground in the camp, and also such legs can be adjusted independently.
Regarding construction
There are essentially two types: i) the tables that fold and remain one single piece all the time, and ii) tables that collapse and fold.
The former is easier to use but this type remains large in two dimensions and it might be less convenient for transportation. The latter remains large in one dimension only when packed so it may be more suitable for transport and to carry short distances, but there is always a simple assembly needed for this type.
Regarding materials
No doubt all-metal constructions, and in particular all-aluminum is the best option. The tables with wood or plastic on the tabletop are less durable. But on the other hand, the wood or bamboo tabletop is indeed so pleasant.
Storage elements
As you see, there are options for storage. This can be very useful to keep the stuff off the ground.
Regarding the weight & packed size
The packed size is mentioned already above regarding the two main types. There are differences in weight, but these are all car camping items and I do not think that the weight is essential.
