Best Camping Cots Review – 5 Unique Models

In this Best Camping Cots Review, I give a list of 5 attractive models with very different features. I do this on purpose, to show the variety of designs available on the market, and to demonstrate what you can expect from such tools. So here are some features they include:

• All cots are foldable, which makes them suitable for camping with a car access. Note, as a rule, these are relatively heavy tools, not something to carry around. But there are exceptions, see the next item.
• One of them is also collapsible and incredibly lightweight (around 1.53 kg only). The term collapsible will become clear when you see the picture below.
• One of them is a double bed, all others are single.
• One cot includes a mattress in the package.

Kamp-Rite Double Kwik Cot

Description

As the name suggests, the Double Kwik Cot is a two-person comfortable cot. This is a sturdy and versatile tool suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. So you will be using it in emergency situations at home as a spare bed for sudden guests and for overnights of your children’s guests, and in camp as well. It is foldable, so when packed, it is rather compact as you may see from the specifications below.

Setup procedure

As usual with the Kamp-Rite products, the setup is incredibly simple, literally measured in seconds. It is best to see this in the video below:

Cons:

• Some users complain about the central bar.
• Trampoline effect: the surface is one piece, so the movement of one person may disturb the other.

Description

Here you have a single and foldable cot for camping and for home use. It is based on a coil suspension system and a strong steel frame. It includes a thick foam mattress pad. When not used, the cot folds up compactly, and in the case of transport, it fits inside most car trunks.

Kamp-Rite Oversize Kwik Cot

This is a single version of the model presented above, but it has some extra features. As the name suggests, the Oversize Kwik Cot was designed for extra comfort. So obviously it is wider and longer than the Kamp-Rite Standard Kwik Cot from the same brand.

This is a great tool to have at home for overnight guests, and you will not have to worry about your guest’s weight. This cot will handle anybody with up to 350 lbs (159 kg). Due to its compact design and being so foldable, the Oversize Kwik Cot is an equally great solution for your outdoor adventures. It is very suitable for transport to your camp area, and for storage at home.

This is the only truly portable tool, see the picture.

This camping cot is in fact described in detail in a separate post in the site. The reason for adding it here in the list is obvious, this is such a great tool that cannot be avoided.

• There were complaints about the support bar.
