What is in the name

So this Kijaro Dual Lock Hard Arm Portable Camping and Sports Chair should not be mixed with their best known Kijaro XXL Dual Lock Oversized Chair that is enormously popular and it has been around for a couple of years.

This Hard Arm model is what its name says, they have added solid yet padded armrest (see the picture). This adds also to the stability of the chair and getting in and out is easier.

The words Dual Lock have the same meaning as in the other mentioned chair. This implies that you can lock it open for a superior “no-sag”, comfortable seating experience, and you can also lock it closed for easy portability. There is a lock button on the side for this purpose, see the picture:

The locking when folded is in fact necessary because the chair has no carry bag. You have a strap instead so when you lock it, carrying is relatively easy.

The frame is steel and the fabric is durable diamond ripstop polyester with mesh sections on the back.

Who is it for

Size-wise, with the dimensions (W x D x H): 27.25 x 25.5 x 37.4 inches (69 x 65 x 95 cm) this is a comfortable and properly sized chair. Note that these numbers are directly from the manufacturer’s site and they are slightly different from those shown on Amazon.

The backrest is high but I would not describe it as a chair with headrest, unless you are a shorter person. If this is what you need please check my separate list of camping chairs with headrest.

The armrests are really useful and help to get in and out, you have a pleasant padding so there is no metal to touch. This makes it suitable also for elderly people.

Capacity-wise, the chair is supposed to support the weight of up to 300 lb (136 kg). So this is quite a typical value, and if you need something for a really heavy user, see this list of camping chairs for heavy people.

Weight-wise, with its 12.57 lb (5.7 kg) this chair is heavy so you would not want to carry it long distances. But the strap allows you to do so. It is also a bit long when packed, so all in all, this is a chair for places with car access.

The packed size is not the best feature here, the chair measures 46.5 x 7.9 x 5.1 inches (118 x 20 x 13 cm). As you realize it is very long when packed.

The feet are with very good plastic caps, see the picture above, but I would not use it in a floored family camping tent. It is best to add something underneath the chair to protect the floor.

The fabric on the backrest is with lots of mesh, so this is a breathable design suitable for summer camping. You realize this from the picture, you can see through the backrest:
