What kind of camping chair is this
This is a nicely packable and fully collapsible camping chair with all its elements shock-corded so the setup is intuitive and easy and there is no chance to mix anything. In fact, all segments in the frame are a single piece.
You have essentially three main components here:
- The frame.
- The fabric.
- Two rocking rails.
The frame is a durable DAC aluminum construction, so you have the best material here, the DAC is a world-renown manufacturer from South Korea specialized for tent poles and for constructions of the type you have here.
The two rails are removable of course so you can use the chair with or without them. If the ground is hard you will have a nice rocking chair. But I notice also that they can be useful on a softer terrain.
Namely, with such rails on, there should be much less sinking but the rocking effect would be lost. Did you know that there are some groundsheets that are attached to the feet to prevent sinking? You can see one in this text.
Who is it for
Weight-wise, with a weight of 4.1 lb (1.85 kg), this chair is not a tool to carry in the backpack, you would have more important items to add first. But this is a great camping tool everywhere where you would not carry it long distances, so this is for places with a car access, or to be transported in any other way and used as a basecamp tool.
Capacity-wise, this chair is strong enough to support up to 320 lb (145 kg). This sounds quite a lot to me, but I am below 80 kg.
Size-wise, you will see the dimensions below, this is quite a large chair and the seat is at 14.6 in (37 cm) above the ground, so this looks good enough to me, perhaps not so great for very tall people.

The Helinox Chair Two Rocker is a strong item, it may look heavy but there is no unnecessary weight here. You have seen its dimensions, so the weight is the consequence. This is a really comfortable chair that will serve you well regardless of where you use it. You have seen in the video how easy it is to set it up.
