What this is about

Eureka has several camping chairs on the market and it is easy to get confused because of the name of this Eureka! Camping Chair that is not so descriptive. In any case, it should not be mixed with their Eureka! Highback Recliner Camping Chair which may look similar.

So what you have here is a completely new chair from this brand. You will notice that on Amazon they sell it under the name Eureka! Folding Camping Chair with Bottle Opener and Holder.

This is a folding chair, and this means there is no particular assembly. You open it in one simple move. This is one of those that opens and closes like an umbrella, so it is long in one dimension only when packed, see the pictures below. I have added it to my list of best folding camping chairs.

As you see, it comes with a very nicely designed carry bag and this makes it easier to transport and also to store at home and to keep clean from dust.

Bonuses

The mentioned carry bag is already a bonus together with its price which is very reasonable. But you also have a bottle holder, and also a bottle opener integrated on the side of the chair, both are shown in the pictures:

The fabric is a strong 600D polyester, and the frame is all steel. You have X-shaped support bars so the chair is stable to lateral movement.

Who is it for

Weight-wise, with its 8 lb 10 oz (3.9 kg) of weight, this is a light chair, in particular bearing in mind that this is a steel chair. But its packed size is 36 x 7.5 x 5.5 inches (91 x 19 x 19 cm), so although portable to short distances, you will need a car for transportation.

Capacity-wise, the declared capacity is 300 lb (136 kg) and this should be good enough for most of the users. But if you need a chair with a greater capacity, please check our list of chairs for very heavy people.

Regarding the dimensions, the seat is moderately high, it is 18 inches (46 cm) above the ground. The chair comes with solid and padded armrests, so it is easy to get in and out of the chair. This may be of importance for elderly users, see the picture below.

The backrest is high but in general, this is not a chair with a headrest unless you are a short person. Nevertheless, it comes with a bit of padding in the head section shown below:

Note that the feet are with very wide plastic caps, so this is a floor-friendly design, and they should not sink easily if you use the chair on a soft ground in the camp. But I would not use it in a floored large family camping tent, better add something for the floor protection.

Regarding climate, the central area is all mesh, so the chair is ventilated and this makes it suitable for warm-weather camping.
