Overview
Here you have an easy to use folding chair that is ready in seconds, with no assembly. Equally easy it is to fold it and pack in its included carry bag shown in the picture below.
This is a padded chair and the padding extends all the way to the head section where you have pleasant head support and the brand’s logo.
Lumbar support: This includes an adjustable strap that goes behind the lower part of the backrest so that you can have ergonomic support and change the curvature of the backrest, see the picture. This is why I have included it in my list of camping chairs with lumbar support.
Storage features
There are several elements here, to start with a large top pocket behind the headrest, you can see how big it is in the picture below. Here you can also put some pillow for extra head support.
This is not all, one large hanging storage pouch (the picture below) with several separate compartments is on the side. You also have a bottle holder in one of the soft armrests, and one cooler on the opposite side, see the pictures below. This is why it is added to my list of camping chairs with coolers.
Materials
This is a strongly built chair with a steel frame and with supporting X-bars on all the sides. Note that they are reinforced in the middle for extra stability, see the picture:
The feet are with wide plastic caps so you will not have issues with the floor. If you use it in a floored family camping tent, it is best to add a carpet to avoid damages, in particular if the ground is soft.
The fabric is made from a durable 600D oxford polyester. The padding inside is a sort of foam.
Who is it for
Regarding the capacity, you have officially a chair that supports up to 400 lb (181 kg). This is very impressive and I have included it in my list of chairs for heavy people.
Regarding dimensions, the chair is large in every sense, the dimensions are (W x D x H) 35.8 x 19.6 x 42.1 inches (91 x 50 x 107 cm).
Note that the seat is very wide, you have 24 inches (61 cm) width here, and this is why I have added it to my list of chairs with very wide seats.
The seat is also very high, it is 19.6 inches (50 cm) from the ground. So the chair is suitable for taller people, and it may be convenient also for older users.
Regarding weight, the chair is moderately heavy, it weighs 12 lb (5.4 kg) so you would not carry it anywhere.
The packed size is not the best feature because it is very long, (L x D) 48 x 7 inches (122 x 18 cm). All in all, you need a car for transportation for long distances.
Regarding the price, this chair is a true bargain, you have seen all its features, so this is a great value for the money.

To summarize this Coastrail Outdoor Camping Chair with Lumbar Back Support review, as you have seen, this is an impressive outdoor chair, with huge capacity and dimensions.
You can use this chair for picnics, camping, traveling, patio parties, fishing, and you name it. It is strong enough to support even the heaviest guys.

This is the best site I have ever found. I’m interested in the Coastrail Outdoor Camping Chair with Lumbar Back Support. But I never go with friends anywhere because of heaviness and the fact that i have very long legs. I cannot push myself up from very low chairs. I need at least 22″ from seat to floor. Has anyone made this product for the very tall who have knee arthritis and need arm rest support yet still need the proper chair height? Your help would be so valuable and greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hi Marie, you made my day with your kind remark.
Camping chairs are usually not built with such high seats. I have checked all the chairs here in the site and the only options are the following:
EasyGoProducts Chair 30 inches seat.
Prime Time Outdoor Giant Kingpin Folding Chair 30 inches seat.
CORE Equipment Folding Padded Hard Arm Chair 20.5 inches seat height.
Do you know how to reach their customer service department? We bought a chair and one of the rivots came out but because it sat in our shed all winter Amazon says its not returnable
I tried to find but could not find, they do not have a site. So the only way is through Amazon where you bought the chair.
Please please please do a list for short people. So many rockers just push us forward and won’t rock because of the center of gravity. If it’s wide enough to fit us then our feet don’t touch the ground; or it’s a four footed chair and it might work but won’t fold up to be portable; Or it’s too low for a pudgy person to get out of with bad knees. Thanks for your website it’s a huge help in general but since I’m short and pudgy- most won’t work.
Hi Ali, from what you write I realize that it is about the chairs that are for short users but not too low. It may be difficult to find a fine line between these two limits. I shall see what I can do about this. Thank you for the comment.
