So what this is about

This Giant Kingpin is a collapsible and folding design, which means it remains large in one dimension only when packed. But it does not require any particular assembly, this is all one single piece so you just spread it and it is ready.

This chair is clearly built for fun, it is too big to be carried around. The chair is very tall so naturally, you have a great headrest here. I have added it to my list of chairs with headrest.

The frame is a reinforced powder-coated steel, and the fabric is UV and water-resistant canvas. You have large plastic feet so this is a floor-friendly design and it will not sink easily in a soft ground.

Bonuses

This chair comes with a bonus 12-can cooler bag, it is equipped with a zipper and a shoulder strap and you can detach it and use separately.

You also have no less than 6 cup holders (I wonder why so many), plus a stuff sack which is useful to keep it free from dust at home.

Who is it for

Capacity-wise, the chair supports up to 400 lb (181 kg), so this is enough to be included in my list with extra strong camping chairs for heavy people.

Size-wise, well you know this already, this chair is so big that it can accommodate two people. The dimensions are 67 x 37.5 x 58 inches (170 x 95 x 147 cm).

Note that the seat is 30 inches (76 cm) above the ground, so even if you are a basketball player this chair would be high enough for you.

But I did not include it in my list of double camping chairs, it is not exactly a chair for two, lots of its width is lost on the “armrests” which have no clear purpose because nobody is so big to really put arms on them. They write that it can accommodate 2 – 4 people and this should not be taken seriously.

Weight-wise, the chair weighs 21 lb (9.5 kg) so this is a heavy item but this should not be surprising in view of its dimensions.

The packed size is 66 x 8.5 x 8.5 inches (168 x 22 x 22 cm) so you need a car for transportation.

So who is it for really? I do not see it as a practical camping chair. It is more for some family events in the garden, no doubt this would be a great attraction and everybody would love to try it. I suspect you would have a queue formed in front of it, so buy two if you can afford. Note that they come in several great colors.
