So what you have here is a new 2019 version of the chair that has been around for a number of years. The colors are different and it appears that the weight is also changed, otherwise the chair’s functionality and features are the same.

This is a folding double-size and very sturdy and stable chair. You will realize how stable it is when you first sit in it. Note that it is fully padded as well. They build it in several color combinations, 5 in total.

Cup holders

Kelty always adds some tiny detail that makes lots of difference, so here you have this again. There are insulated cup holders on both sides, but they are with a divider which you can move to the side, so you keep a smaller cup or a larger bottle and they will still be fixed in it, see the pictures:

Padded roll-tote storage

Here again you have something particular from Kelty. They use a roll-tote instead of an ordinary carry bag. But note that it is padded, the reason is that you can use it as a pad for sitting on the ground, so you have a double chair together with a mat.

You can even use it to cover yourself and your partner when sitting in the camp, you will see this in the video below. This system is with three straps with buckles and with a shoulder strap so you can carry it short distances easily, see the picture:

Yet another feature here are adjustable armrests. They are with straps on the back of the chair so you can change the angle. They are soft just to know, but you have bars on the front (integrated into the fabric) to use when you get up, see the pictures above.

I love the feet design, there are 6 of them and they are very wide, so they will not sink easily in the ground.

Who is it for

Size-wise, obviously this is a duo suitable for couples or for parents with kids. The seat is 44 inches (112 cm) wide and this is quite enough for two people, but there are wider options indeed, you will see some below. This is a loveseat after all, so this is fine.

The chair is low, so kids can use it on their own. The seat is 13.5 inches (34 cm) above the ground and this may be low for elderly users. But the chair is with armrests so this can help to get in and out.

Capacity-wise, the declared weight capacity is 500 lb (227 kg), so this is quite a typical value, nothing extraordinary for two users. There are double chairs that offer more, you will see some in the comparison table below.

Weight-wise, for a double-size chair it is lightweight, it weighs 16 lb (7.3 kg).

The packed size quite good 34. 5 x 11 x 11 inches (88 x 28 x 28 cm), but clearly this is a camping item for places with car access.
