Description
The Coleman Ridgeline III Camp Bed is clearly designed to fill in the gap between the other two famous foldable cots from the same brand, the Coleman ComfortSmart Cot and the Coleman ComfortSmart Cot Deluxe. This you can see if you compare the numbers in the table below.
The Ridgeline III Camp Bed features a durable steel frame and a soft foam mattress. It can easily support any weight up to 225 lb (102 kg). The mattress is with different colors on the two sides.
The bed fabric is attached to the frame through a series of steel springs, so it creates a tensioned surface which children will probably like to use as a trampoline. The fabric is nice dark green color and the same color is the underside of the pad.
The bed is with three bars on the ground, so it is very stable, and there are no bars riding under the fabric to hit you from below.
I would say the Ridgeline III Cot is just-right size, its 74 x 26 inches (188 x 66 cm) bed provides a lot of comfort for the majority of people. It fits a person up to 6 ft 2 in. Clearly, their other ComfortSmart Cot is too short for many, and the ComfortSmart Luxe too long for most of the users.
The setup
There is not much to say here, more simple it cannot be; all you have to do is just to undo the Velcro strap which keeps the bed folded and open it up. The mattress is normally stored on the underside where the legs are, so you take it out, set the cot on the legs and put the pad on it. This is the job done.
Fitting this cot in a tent
The cot is 15.25 inches (39 cm) high, so it can easily fit in any 2-person tent, perhaps even in some solo tents as well.
Its bed size of 74 x 26 inches (188 x 66 cm) may look like it would occupy most of the space in such a tent, but think about the huge volume you have under the cot, where you can store all your gear.

My rating, pros & cons
The list of Pros is long. There is not much really to object to this cot. It would be great to have a cover or carry sack.
The Amazon-US price is given in the link. It is updated daily and accurate, a fair price for such a cot with mattress.

I Happen to like the coleman cot with matress , i have a bad back slept on it . waking up next morning feeling refreshed no stiff aching back . great for car camping for people with bad backs also fishing trips on a bank if ya want a nap . The ridge line rocks for the price and easily folds , i rate it a 10 for people under 225 lbs i think coleman should make a ridgeline that holds 500 pds as me and my girlfriend would brake it . great thing about matress it detatches if you dont want to use the frame. overall i rate it a 4 star due to the weight capacity or i would give it a 5 star.
Many thanks Mark. Note that we have a separate list if cots for heavy users.
How to replace not the mattress the green material under mattress tear can’t be fix
It is best to contact Coleman. They have a separate site for parts.
I just purchased the Coleman Ridgeline 3 cot.
The dimensions are incorrect it is not 26 inches wide it’s 24 3/4.
I am disabled and cannot return big items easily I have to ask for a ride to transport the cot.
I explained this to the store manager at Walmart and asked if I could get a discount for this item she said no
I am disappointed with this purchase.
This is very bad to hear, cannot be of much help, the links here in the text are to Amazon. As for the dimension, this is the official number from the manufacturer. So if you measure and get a different result, then they were selling an incorrect product. I am really sorry to hear this. I do not sell them from my site.
Wanna sell it??
