What type of chair is this
As the name of this chair suggests, it is built for comfort, so you have a really high back which goes to 39 inches (99 cm). It is also wide and deep, you have 21 x 27.5 inches (53 x 70 cm), respectively.
The chair is fully collapsible and it packs nicely to 20 x 6.5 x 4 inches (51 x 17 x 10 cm). But this also implies that it needs assembly, though this is a quite typical job and very easily done. All poles are shock-corded and permanently attached to each other, just like the poles of a tent. So there is nothing to guess, this is all a press-fit construction.
When the frame is ready (in just a few seconds), you attach the sling. It is with 4 small pockets in the corners where you put the ends of the chair’s poles, see the picture below. These are the only contacts of the sling with the frame.
The sling looks really durable, this is 600D polyester, and it is with mesh panels on the sides (visible in the picture) so you will not feel warm sitting in the chair. The frame is anodized aluminum, and the tubes look like tent’s poles but much thicker.
The carry bag is big enough so that you can store the chair easily. You break the poles into a bundle and roll them up in the sling. There is a zipper on the bag, plus dual lash straps on the side so you can attach it to the backpack or just to the chair when it is set up, you will see this in the video. One extra carry strap is on the top to carry the bag in the hand, all in all, a very nicely built piece.

Who is it for
The Kelty Linger High-Back Chair is a camping chair. So although it is so collapsible and you can indeed attach it to backpack, it is with 3 lb 6 oz (1.5 kg) of weight and not something to carry very long distances.
But this is a great option for fishermen, for camping, to use at some open-air festivals and for picnics with your family and friends, at the beach, and for any other similar activity.
The capacity is quite good, it can support the weight of up to 300 lb (136 kg), so even if you are a heavy person it will be fine for you.
Note that the legs are quite sharp and they will definitely sink in a soft ground and if you use it on the sand. But there are rubber cups for protection when you use the chair on concrete or any other hard surface.

Final thoughts
In the summary, this Kelty Linger High-Back Chair is a very comfortable chair with a great back support, you can lean back and relax and you will always feel stable in this chair. There is an extra beam on the top which adds stability and support for the head.
It is light enough to be carried attached to the pack to some shorter distances and there are attachment elements for this purpose. But this is essentially a camping chair.
