What this Fraser Deluxe Bungee Chair is about

Here you have a folding camping chair, and this means there is no assembly, all the elements are pre-attached to each other and you can have it ready in seconds. The pictures below show how the chair looks when folded and in its included carry bag. So you realize this is an elongated tube that you can carry short distances attached to the shoulder.

The chair is fully padded and it looks exceptionally cool with its bungee cord suspension, see the zoomed picture below. The point of such attachment of the fabric to the frame is that it naturally adjusts to your body shape and movement.

Note that you have solid armrests here, so it is easy to get in and out of the chair. This may be very useful for elderly users. Observe that the armrests are also padded so you do not touch cold metal.

Timber Ridge brand is known for sturdy and reliable outdoor equipment and this holds for this chair as well. The picture below shows how the chair looks from the back. The numerous support bars make it very stable and sturdy.

The materials

This is all a powder-coated steel construction, and the fabric is a durable 600D shadow embossed & 840 Velocity Dobby polyester. The inside padding is an open-cell foam.

From the pictures, you can see that the feet are with plastic cups. I would stress that they are very narrow and they can easily sink in soft ground. Also, if you use the chair in a floored family camping tent, you will definitely have to put some protection on the floor.

Who is it for

Regarding the weight, the chair weighs 13 lb (5.9 kg) so it is not light but you can indeed carry it shorter distances from the car in its carry bag. The packed size is such that it will not take much space in the car.

Regarding the capacity, the chair is quite typical, officially it supports users of up to 300 lb (136 kg). This should be fine for most of the users, and it definitely looks strong enough for such a weight. But if you need more, check my list of camping chairs for heavy people.

Regarding dimensions, the chair measures 22.4 x 18.1 x 36 inches (57 x 46 x 91 cm) so this looks quite typical. The backrest is 19.7 inches (50 cm) high so this is not a chair with a headrest. 

Regarding the price, this is a very affordable chair, a great value/price combination and a nice option as a gift for somebody.
