Overview

Here you have a folding camping chair, and this means there is no assembly, you open it and close it in seconds. When not in use, you pack it in its included carry bag. In this shape it is a long tube with the dimensions 38 x 8 inches (97 x 20 cm). Below you can see how it looks:

The chair comes with a number of useful features. So you have a storage set on the side, it is shown in the picture below.

You also have 2 bottle/cup holders on the sides, see one of them, it is elongated so that you can put items of different diameters.

The armrests are soft, and they are with adjustability straps on the back, so you can adjust the angle and height. One is shown below.

Materials

The frame is very strong powder-coated steel with X-crossed support bars on all four sides. The picture below shows the chair from the back so you get some idea about its shape. Observe that the feet are wide, so this will not sink easily in the soft ground.  

The fabric is a 600D ripstop polyester taffeta, quite typical for such chairs, there are no mesh sections here. Note also that the chair is lightly padded. In the video below you can see a bit more.

Who is this REI Co-op Camp Xtra Chair for

Regarding the capacity, the chair is impressive with its 400 lb (181 kg). This is why I have included it in my list of chairs for heavy people.

Regarding the dimensions, they are very good but I do not see much Xtra here, the chair measures (L x W x H) 24.5 x 24.75 x 34.25 inches (62 x 63 x 87 cm). You do not have a headrest here.

Regarding the weight, the chair can be described as moderately heavy with its 10 lb (4.5 kg). You have already seen its packed size, so it is a bit long. All in all, this is a car camping chair.
