What this is about

Here you have a nicely designed camping table that includes several interesting features mentioned above. Note that it should not be mixed with yet another camping kitchen from the same brand which is under a slightly different name Coleman Pack-Away Deluxe Portable Kitchen.

The structure of this camping table may look complicated, but it is very easy to use. It includes only the following separate elements:

• The accordion-type frame with legs and support bars, they are all permanently pre-attached to each other.
• A two-segment removable lantern hanger pole.
• A tabletop which doubles as a carry case.
• A hanger for utensils.
• Two cross poles for support.
• A storage mesh that attaches underneath the main table.

You will see in the video below how you make the table ready, this is all done in several minutes without any tool. When you transport it, it packs in itself and the carry bag is roughly half of its tabletop size, the dimensions are 32 x 11 x 4 in (81 x 28 x 10 cm). The picture below shows its actual size when packed:

So the structure is collapsible but its biggest part with the frame and the side stand is folding. This means that it needs a simple assembly. Because of this, I have added this table in my list of best collapsible camping tables.

How is it built

The frame is a lightweight aluminum. The tabletop is an engineered medium-density fiberboard. From what I have seen on the sites of several sellers, there are two versions of this table currently on the market. One with the expandable frame shown in the top picture above is on Amazon, and another which is without such a feature is on the manufacturer’s site and also at Walmart.

The side stand is without a tabletop but you have two cross poles, and it is built to accommodate most of Coleman’s stoves and coolers. The size of the stand is around 27.8 x 20.5 in (71 x 52 cm).

The legs are with wide plastic feet, so this is safe to use in a floored family camping tent.

Storage & hanging features

You have a mesh that attaches underneath the tabletop, plus a utensil hanger with hooks, and the mentioned side stand where you can place a cooler or anything similar to store your camping kitchen items. This is why I have included this table in my list of tables with storage features.

Note that both the lantern hanger and the utensil hanger are removable, so you can use the table as a dining table. I have seen people asking about this. The picture below shows how you can use these elements for storage:

Coleman Pack-Away Portable Kitchen vs Competitors

I thought it would be useful to see how this table compares with some of its competitors. So below you have Camco Deluxe Table and CampLand Table shown side by side with this Coleman table.

As you realize it is much lighter, its tabletop is bigger, and it packs better. But the other two camping tables have side tables as well, while the Coleman Table only has a side stand.
