As pointed out in the title, this Pacific Pass Camping Chair is nicely padded and heavy-duty with its 400 lb capacity and solid padded armrests.

What this is about

Here you have a really nicely built folding camping chair, so there is no assembly, you open it in seconds. It comes with solid yet padded armrests and the backrest is also quite high.

The chair is fully padded, and it offers a pleasant headrest for shorter users. I have included it in my list of best padded camping chairs. The picture below shows some details from its padding and armrests:

The chair comes with a pivoting bottle holder, and you have a storage pouch on the opposite side. This all is great to have to keep your stuff at hand.

The feet are particularly large and they will not sink easily in the ground. Note that they are also pivoting so they will adapt to the surface where you use the chair. With such a design you can use the chair even in a floored family camping tent.

There is also a great carry bag included shown below, so you can carry the chair short distances, and you can use it to keep the chair clean at home when stored for a long time.

The fabric is a durable 600D ripstop polyester and the frame is constructed from 28 x 20 mm steel tubes. There are X-shaped support bars underneath the seat to stabilize the chair laterally. The front legs also have a great function for stability because they are angled and connected with the solid armrests through vertical bars. So this is a very stable structure.

Who is it for

Regarding the capacity, this is an impressive chair that is supposed to support up to 400 lb (181 kg) of weight. This is not surprising when you see how strongly built it looks.

So this should be good enough for almost any user, and this is why I have included it in my list of best camping chairs for heavy people.

Regarding the weight, the chair is moderately heavy with its 12 lb (5.4 kg). But you have seen its capacity so the weight is justified, and this is a camping chair so you are not supposed to carry it long distances.

Regarding the dimensions, the chair is large, you have the seat size (W x D) 21.5 x 19 inches (55 x 48 cm). Note also that the seat is 17 inches (43 cm) above ground, so it is moderately tall. The solid armrests help to get in and out, so the chair is suitable for elderly users.

The backrest is 20.5 inches (52 cm) above the seat, so this should give good support and even headrest for not very tall people. See the numbers in the picture:

Regarding the packed size, the chair is long when packed but this is a thin tube, the dimensions are (L x D) 40 x 8 inches (102 x 20 cm).

Rating, pros & cons

Please see how I rate this chair, I use the same criteria for all of them here in the site and this allows for easy comparison. The average rating is negatively affected by the weight and packed size but you can simply ignore these two parameters.
