What this is about
This chair is on the market under the name given in the title. But on Amazon they have the GCI Outdoor Waterside Big Surf Beach Chair with Side Table and Sunshade. From what I have seen, that chair is different because it has no carry straps, just to know.
Essentially, this is a folding design, all the elements are pre-attached to each other and there is no assembly. It folds thin for transportation with everything together, the picture below shows that it remains quite bulky in two dimensions.
The folded dimensions are 33.9 x 25 x 6 inches (86 x 64 x 15 cm) and you realize it is thin. There are also shoulder straps, you can see them in the top picture above, so you can carry the chair as shown in the picture:
Adjustable sunshade
The chair comes with a pre-attached sunshade that offers UPF 50+ protection. This is maximum you can normally have with such chairs. The sunshade is rotating so you can adjust the angle.
Patented sliding side table
So this is yet another chair of this brand with a patented feature. You have a a slide-out table with a beverage holder to keep your drink and snacks sand-free. It folds flat for storage and transportation. See how this looks:

Reclining design
The backrest offers 4 separate positions, the first and the fourth are shown in the picture below. Observe that the backrest is high and you have an integrated pillow for a great headrest. This is why it is in my list of best reclining camping chairs.
The materials and other details
The frame is a combination of aluminum and steel. There are plastic elements like the solid armrests and the mentioned sliding side table.
Note that the legs are bars, so the weight is nicely distributed and this chair will perform well on any surface. it will not easily sink in any ground. You can use it even in a floored family camping tents.
The fabric is polyester, but there is also a large mesh area on the backrest. my guess is this is nylon, they did not provide info. But in any case, this is a ventilated construction suitable for a warm weather use.
Who is it for
Regarding the capacity, it is quite modest but typical, the chair is for users of up to 250 lb (113 kg).
Regarding the dimensions, I would describe them as typical for such a type, its measures without the sunshade are shown in the picture.
The seat is low as expected from such a chair, but you have solid armrests and this helps a lot to get in and out of the chair.
Regarding the weight, it is moderate, perhaps a bit on the heavy side, you will see below how I rate it.
You have already seen its packed size and you realize it is bulky, but it fits into narrow spaces because it is so thin.

So this GCI Outdoor Big Surf Chair with Sunshade is a new version they released for the season 2022. The chair is better than ever, with many useful and some completely unique features. The price is fair for what you get here. Fully recommended.
